Noah's Ark is the ship on which God saves Noah, his family and all the animals of the world from a global flood. Noah is a biblical hero, a direct descendant of Adam. Noah was chosen to revive the human race and is considered the father of all the nations of the world. God gave Noah precise instructions how to build the wooden ship. Noah's Ark was rectangular with three decks. The lowest deck was for wild beasts, the middle for birds and domestic animals, and the top for humans. The flood lasted 40 days, the water rose so high that Noah's ship was level with the mountain peaks. The water receded only after 150 days. The Lord promised Noah not to punish people longer for human sins, not to destroy the human race with the waters of the flood, leaving a Testament to people.
Perhaps historically the flood took place in the Persian Gulf or the Black Sea.
